Autapomorphies of Ghatula.

(1) Hind wing [see Kimminsula/g1 ()] with vein MP non-branched (Kluge et al. 2022: Figs 52, 93) (in contrast to other taxa of the Kimminsula/g1).

Plesiomorphies of Ghatula.

Labrum without paired muscles-depressors (in contrast to Petersula/g2).

Each mandible has distinct middle tuft of setae on outer margin (Kluge et al. 2022: Figs 22–23, 75–76) (in contrast to Petersula/g2).

Prostheca of each mandible two-branched: distal branch (neighboring to kinetodontium) with few processes; proximal branch much longer, directed proximally, with numerous long processes (Kluge et al. 2022: Figs 22–23, 75–76) (in contrast to Petersula).

Maxillary palp: [see Kimminsula/g1 ()]. Long setae on inner side of second segment form a longitudinal row (Kluge et al. 2022: Figs 19) (in contrast to Petersula).

Patella-tibial suture retains plesiomorphic condition: in larvae, subimagines and imagines of both sexes it is absent on forelegs and present on middle and hind legs, where it is complete, i.e. crossing inner side of the tibia (Kluge et al. 2022: Figs 30–35, 53–55) (among Kimminsula/g1, the same in Ceylonula, in contrast to Petersula/g2, Kimminsula/g3 and Hubbardula, see Index of characters [1.2.18]). ).

Size. Fore wing length 12 mm.

Distribution. Southern India.
