() All imaginal and subimaginal claws are pointed. Non-unique apomorphy (see Index of characters [2.2.85]).

() Tergalii of all 7 pairs have both lamellae present, divides up to base; each lamella has slender middle apical process; sometimes it has also two side apical processes (thus, terminates in 3 filamentous processes), whose presence can vary individually (Peters & Edmunds 1964) [see Leptophlebia/fg1 (10)];  (see Index of characters [1.3.23]).

In larva, imago and subimago patella-tibial suture is developed on middle and hind legs, being absent on fore legs only (see Index of characters [1.2.18], ibid. [2.2.82]). 

Size. Fore wing length 7–13 mm.
