Autapomorphies of Jappa/g1. () Superlinguae bear pointed lateral projections. ?The same in Habrophlebia/g1 (see Index of characters [1.1.27]). () Lateral margins of larval pronotum with long setae. () Larval fore leg with a field of dense stout pointed pectinate setae on inner side of tibia. () Denticles on larval claws [see Leptophlebia/fg1 (9)] are either greatly diminished (in Jappa/g2 and ?Ulmerophlebia) or lost (in Neboissophlebia). Characters of Jappa/g1 of unclear phylogenetic status. ... Plesiomorphies of Jappa/g1. () In larva, subimago and imago patella-tibial suture is developed on middle and hind legs (in kutera [J.]) or only on hind legs (in ?Ulmerophlebia sp.) (see Index of characters [1.2.18], ibid. [2.2.82]). All imaginal and ??subimaginal claws are either ephemeropteroid (in Jappa/g2 and Neboissophlebia), or intermediate between ephemeropteroid and pointed (in ?Ulmerophlebia sp.1) (see Index of characters [2.2.85]). |
