Autapomorphy of Needhamella/g1.

(1) Each tergalius has both lamellae [see Leptophlebia/fg1 (10)] oval, often (not always) with a single narrow short terminal process. At least tergalii I–VI are bilamellate; vestigial tergalius VII is either also bilamellate (in ehrhardi [Thraulus]), or unilamellate (in convexus [Thraulus]).

Size. Fore wing length 7–10 mm.
