Plesiomorphies of Acentrella/fg2. Unlike Jubabaetis/g1, larval tarsus without ventral subapical seta. (1) Unlike Jubabaetis/g1, flat denticles, which form a row on mola of left mandible, are longer than 1/2 of the distal molar projection and begin close to it (Kluge & Novikova 2011: Fig.102). (2) Unlike Tanzaniops, mentum has paraglossal muscle oblique and overlapping glossal muscle ventrally (Kluge & Novikova 2011: Fig.39, 101). (3) Unlike Jubabaetis/g2, larval tarsus lacks ventral subapical seta (Kluge & Novikova 2011: Fig.48). (4) Imaginal and subimaginal tarsus has maximum number of apical spines: middle and hind tarsi of both sexes have 3 apical spines, i.e. 1st+2nd, 3rd and 4th tarsomeres are spine-bearing (Kluge & Novikova 2011: Fig.5); fore tarsus of female also has 3 apical spines, i.e. 2nd, 3rd and 4th tarsomeres are spine-bearing (Kluge & Novikova 2011: Fig.4) [see Tetramerotarsata (1) and Acentrella/fg1 (10)] (see Index of characters [2.2.78.2], [2.2.83]). |
Size. Fore wing length 3–6 mm(see Tetramerotarsata).
Distribution. Holarctic and Oriental Regions.
