Nomen hierarchicum: Electroletus/g(1) [g:2006]
In circumscription fits:
— gen. Eletroletus Godunko & Newman 2006: 178
Reference. Godunko & Newman 2006: .
Characters of Electroletus of unclear phylogenetic status. (1) In cubital field of fore wing, veins, which go from CuA to wing margin [see Anteritorna (1)], are substituted by a pair of intercalaries. Non-unique apomorphy (see Index of characters [2.2.52]); the same in Metreletus. (2) On middle and hind legs of imago and subimago tarsus is longer than tibia; first tarsal segment [fused with tibia – see Plesiomorphies of Ameletus/fg1] is longest. In this respect Electroletus differs both from Ameletus/fg2 and Metereletus, whose middle and hind tarsi are shorter. |
Size. Fore wing length 8.5 mm.
Age. Palaeogene (Baltic amber).
Nominal species in Electroletus/g(1): 1 species
