- Adnoptilum
Nomen hierarchicum: Adnoptilum/g(1) [g:2010]
In circumscription fits:
— gen. Adnoptilum Gattolliat & Monaghan 2010
References. Gattolliat & Monaghan 2010:
Autapomorphies of Adnoptilum. (1) Larval paracercus shortened, shorter than 2/3 of length of cerci (unlike other Rhithrocloeon/fg2, whose larval paracercus is equal to cerci). The same in many other Turbanoculata. Characters of Adnoptilum of unclear phylogenetic status. (2) Hind wings absent; larva has no vestiges of hind protoptera (non-unique apomorphy – see Index of characters [2.2.59]). Among Rhithrocloeon/fg1, the same in Rhithrocloeon/fg3; Mutelocloeon has vestigial hind wings; possibly, synapomorphy. |
Size. Fore wing length 4–5 mm (see Tetramerotarsata).
Distribution. Afrotropical Region.
Nominal species in Mutelocloeon/g(1):
