Autapomorphies of Acerpenna. (1) Tergalius VII is crescent-shaped: anal rib [situated on anal margin – see Tetramerotarsata (12)] is shortened, and anal margin of tergalius goes nearly straight from apex of the vestige of anal rib to apex of costal rib, thus forming a point. The same in some Nigrobaetis/g3 – digitatus [Baetis] and acinaciger [B.]. Characters of Acerpenna of unclear phylogenetic status. () In mature larva ready to moult to subimago, buds of subimaginal gonostyli are folded under larval cuticle by the "Labiobaetis-type" [see Baetofemorata (2)]: 2nd and 3rd segments of gonostylus are directed medially and somewhat arched by convexity posteriorly, thus margin of 2nd segment represents the posteriormost part of the bud (Fig. ??). The same in some other taxa (see Index of characters [2.3.9]). () On anterior margin of hind wing [see Turbanoculata (10)] distally from costal projection is present a gentle convexity covered with small spines. The same in Camelobaetidius/g1?
