Nominal taxa included:
Petracloeon is said to differ from Palaeocloeon by separated furcasternal protuberances (as in Turbanoculata) and presence of patella-tibial suture on fore leg (as in Anteropatellata) (Sroka & Gattolliat 2025). But on the single specimen (female imago) furcasternum is closed by bubble, and fore leg is dirty. |

Plesiomorphies of Palaeocloeon. Unlike Turbanoculata, eyes of male are not divided into two portions; furcasternal protuberances are contiguous (Kluge 2004: Fig.27:F). On fore wing in each space only one marginal intercalary is present [see Liberevenata (2)] (Kluge 2004: Fig.27:A). |

Age. Late Cretaceous (Taimyr amber).
