Autapomorphy of Isonychia/fg2. (1) Styliger is strongly shortened in median part, thus gonostyli pedestals are separated one from another nearly from their bases. As well as in Prionoides, gonostyli pedestals are long, each with ventral surface flat and dorsal surface semi-cylindrically projected (Tiunova & al., 2004: Fig.36-38). Plesiomorphies of Isonychia/fg2 (unlike Prionoides). Penis with straight lateral margins, without curved projections. Eggs are spherical. |
Size. Fore wing length 8–16 mm.
Distribution. Holarctic and Oriental Region; dominate in Nearctic and Eastern Palaearctic.
