Autapomorphies of Eurylophella/fg1. (1) Tergalius IV [gill operculum – see Timpanoga/fg2 (1)] is oval, with distal margin not truncate and not incised [see Ephemerella/fg2 (2)]; these gill opercula completely or nearly completely cover the rest of tergalii (Kluge 2004: Fig.91:I). Non-unique apomorphy. Plesiomorphy of Eurylophella/fg1. Unlike Timpanoga/fg3, larval claws with a row of denticles on inner margin [see Ephemerella/fg1 (18)]. |
