(1) In male turban eyes [see Turbanoculata (1)] are strongly reduced or nearly completely lost, thus eyes of male nearly have no difference from eyes of female; in this respect Aturbina differs not only from other Turbanoculata, but also from Palaeocloeon, Siphlaenigma and majority of other mayflies which have eyes of male larger than eyes of female because of large upper portion.
