COMMENT. This taxon is often called Aculeata (sensu Latereille 1807); this is wrong, because the name Aculeata Scopoli 1763 belongs to a much more wide taxon, being a junior synonym of Hymenoptera Linnaeus 1758. The correct name Aculeati Latreille 1802 is often mixed with the wrong name Aculeata; because of this, its junior synonym Monotrocha Hartig 1837 is preferrable.
