COMMENT. Originally the name Homoptera Latreille 1810 was introduced for a paraphyletic taxon which united all Hemiptera (i.e. Condylognatha) except for Heteroptera. In modern literature the name Homoptera is often wrongly used for another paraphyletic taxon, which does not unclude Thysanoptera, but unites all Arthroidignatha except for Heteroptera:

Condylognatha
  Thysanoptera
  Arthroidignatha
    Plantisuga
    Hemelytrata
