Autapomorphy of Tumungula.

(1) On fore leg of male imago [which have blant claws – see Variable characters of Heptagenota] the blunt claw is unusually wide.

Plesiomorphy of Tumungula.

(2) Unlike Epeiron/g2, penis retains dorso-lateral spines [see Pentamerotarsata (5)].

Size. Fore wing length 7–10 mm. 

Distribution. China.
