Autapomorphies of Ulmeritus/fg1.

(?) Gonostylus with proximal (1st+2nd) segment slender, arched; its basal 1/6 portion is sharply broadened, with projected inner-apical angle.

Labrum ...

Outer margin of mandible, beside long sparse setae (usual for ...), with a field of shorter dense setae in distal part.

Labial palp with a row of thick setae from apex of 2nd segment to 3rd segment.

() Each tergalius I–VII has both lamellae [see Leptophlebia/fg1 (10)] wide, oval, with numerous long slender marginal processes; trachea branches from base. Non-unique apomorphy (see Index of characters [1.3.23]).
