Autapomorphies of Habrophlebia/fg3.

(1) Female imago and subimago has a secondary ovipositor – this is a projection of posterior margin of abdominal sternum VII (i.e. subgenital plate), which lateral margins are curved dorsally and fused, forming a tube. This ovipositor is not long, reaching only a middle of abdominal sternum VIII. Non-unique apomorphy: independently secondary ovipositor (of the same structure but of greater length) evolved in some Atalophlebolinguata (see Index of characters [2.3.4]).

(2) Proximal (1^st+2^nd) segment of gonostylus with sharply widened base, its inner margin forms a sharply projected angle.

Size. Fore wing length 5–9 mm.

Distribution. Western Palaearctic.
