Characters of Indobaetis of unclear phylogenetic status. 

() Tergalii I are lost (see Index of characters [1.3.20]); tergalii II–VII retain usual structure.

() In mature larva ready to moult to subimago, buds of subimaginal gonostyli are folded under larval cuticle in the "Labiobaetis-type" [see Baetofemorata (2)]: 2nd and 3rd segments of gonostylus are directed medially and somewhat arched by convexity posteriorly, thus margin of 2nd segment represents the posteriormost part of the bud (Kluge & Novikova 2014: Fig.28-29). The same in some other taxa (see Index of characters [2.3.9]).
