Autapomorphies of Guajirolus/g2.

() On both mandibles, inner margin between kinetodontium and mola is heavily sclerotized and forms a sharp projection just proximad of prostheca, so that base of prostheca is inserted into a sharp incision between base of kinetodontium and this projection. Unique apomorphy.

() On maxillary palp [2-segmented see Baetungulata (3)], the first segment has a transverse fold, which divides it into two parts superficially resembling segments (but its muscles adductor and abductor of second segment pass through both these parts). Because of this fold on the first segment, the palp looks as three-segmented. The same in Pseudopannota/g2 (see Index of characters [1.1.42]).

() On labial palp, inner projection of second segment is enlarged: in Guajirolus/g2 it is very long and wide, in Chane it is narrow and unusually long.

() On each claw, row of denticles [single see Baetungulata (1)] has distalmost denticle much larger than others. Non-unique apomorphy (see Index of characters [1.2.21]), but unusual for Turbanoculata.

Characters of  Guajirolus/g2 of unclear phylogenetic status.
