Centroptella/g3

(Panephemeroptera Euephemeroptera Euplectoptera Anteritorna pm.Tridentiseta
Tetramerotarsata Liberevenata Turbanoculata
Anteropatellata Baetovectata Centroptella/g1 Centroptella/g2 - Centroptella/g3)

Nomen hierarchicum: Centroptella/g3 [g:1980] (sine Crassolus, Chopralla)

In circumscription fits:

— gen. Centroptella Braasch & Soldan 1980: 123

— subgen. Centroptella: Kluge 2021: 19

References. Kluge & Godunko & Svitok 2020:  ; – Kluge 2021: * *.

Probable autapomorphies of Centroptella/g3.

(1) In larva, posterior arm of U-shaped row of long setae [see Centroptella/g1 ()] on fore- and middle tibiae is oblique and directed more longitudinally than transversely (Kluge & al. 2020: Fig.16-18, 49-51). In contrast to Crassolus and Chopralla.

(2) In larva, claws without denticles. In contrast to Crassolus and Chopralla, which normally have 2 short rows of denticles.

Characters of Centroptella/g3 of unclear phylogenetic status, probable plesiomorpies.

(3) Denticles on posterior margins of abdominal terga are present beginning from tergum I or II (Kluge & al. 2020: Fig.60-68). The same in Crassolus, in contrast to Chopralla.

(4) Abdominal sternum VI with pair of regular transverse rows of bifurcate setae (besides such rows on sterna IV–V) (Kluge & al. 2020: Fig.58). The same in Crassolus, in contrast to Chopralla.

Plesiomorphies of Centroptella/g3.

(5) Gonovectes without halberd-like widenings apically (Kluge & al. 2020: Fig.77,80) (in contrast to Crassolus).

(7) Sterno-styligeral muscle is retained (in contrast to Crassolus), being rather weak and often divided into a pair of convergent muscles (Kluge & al. 2020: Fig.77,80).

Size. Fore wing length 3.5–4 mm (see Tetramerotarsata).

Distribution. Oriental Region and Australia.
